Columbia Helicopters, Inc. located 22 mi. So. of Portland, OR, has an opening for a PT Truck Driver. Requires a Commercial Drivers license, Medical examiner's certificate, Hazardous material endorsement, tank endorsement, air brake restriction removed. Able to read, write and understand written and oral instruction in English, excellent driving record. Must be at least 21 years of age. Requires demonstrated ability to climb onto a load, work in a wide range of weather conditions, lift up to 100 lbs, operate vehicle for up to 10 hours per shift, operate vehicle with either standard or automatic transmissions, operate equipment in a safe manner at all times. Responsible for complying with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations as well as Company Safety Policies.
Duties: Drive vehicles as required to support Shop and Field Operations. Determine if vehicle is properly loaded, to block, brace and tie down loads, manually load/unloa. Drive heavy-duty gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer (Semi-Trailer) combination truck (26,001 pounds or greater) used to haul fuel, parts, materials and/or equipment.
Working Conditions:
Activities require handling and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment and tying down equipment, frequent use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal on equipment and trucks, exposure to bright light, extreme temperature, loud noise, dust gas or fumes. Other duties as assigned.
