Junior defense Blake Harlow and junior defense Austin Kane were OHSLA all-state honorable mentions this season.
Harlow was second on the Wildcats in groundballs with 57, and Kane was fourth with 34. Both were instrumental in the Wildcats’ defense that allowed just 7.1 goals per game.
Under first-year coach Scott Chalkley, Wilsonville (11-7 overall, 6-4 Northwest Oregon) finished fourth in the NWOC with 96 points, missing the playoffs by 10 points in the standings to Sherwood (11-6, 6-4), who had 104 and finished third.
Five points were awarded for each victory, one point for each goal scored (eight points maximum can be earned per game), and two points for an overtime loss.
Liberty (13-4, 8-2) won the NWOC championship with 115 points, edging Century (13-7, 8-2) by one point.
In the NWOC all-league selections, 10 Wildcats were recognized by conference coaches.
Wilsonville had four all-league first-teamers, including sophomore attacker Andrew Conway, junior midfielder Bradford Patey, along with Harlow and Kane on defense.
Conway led the Wildcats offensively with team-highs in goals scored (35), assists (33), points (68) and shots on goal (114), and was the main focus for opposing defenses.
Patey scored 15 goals and had nine assists, and was third on the team on shots on goal (69).
Wilsonville had two second-team selections, including sophomore LSM (long stick middle) Michael Carpenter and junior goalkeeper Jack Taylor.
Taylor played 624 minutes this season, allowing 108 goals off 272 shots on goal. He also had 164 saves, and a .603 save percentage.
Four Wildcats were named all-league honorable mentions, including junior attack Chad Wilbur, sophomore attack Chase Bennington, sophomore midfielder Jeff Hodson and senior defense Bryce Mann.
Wilbur was third on the team in goals scored (19), second in assists (14) and second in shots on goal (81).
Bennington was second on the team in goals scored (30) and fourth in shots on goal (58).
Hodson had six goals, three assists and 32 shots on goal.
Liberty’s Paul Lardy was named NWOC coach of the year. n
