Sign-ups are for players who will be in third through eighth grade next school year. Registration will be held online this year as mandated by the league, and are available at www.wilsonvilleyouthsports.org.

You will have to sign in and create an account. The Wilsonville Youth Sports football program is open to all youth residing in the Wilsonville High School boundaries.

Sign-ups and fees are due no later than June 30.

Wilsonville wrestling fundraiser for nationals

Three Wilsonville High School wrestlers have qualified to compete for the Oregon Cadet National Team. Adrian Escobedo, Mike Hadley and Sean Robinson will represent the state of Oregon and the Wilsonville community at the Cadet National Championships in July in Fargo, N.D.

Several kids who wrestle for these teams move to place at the OSAA state championships, giving them experience and a passion for the sport.

The cost is about $1,600, which includes airfare, team camp and team gear. The boys have begun the fundraising process but could use help from the community.

Wilsonville football camp sign-up information

The Wilsonville High School football program is hosting a contact camp on June 11-13, 16-17 at Wilsonville High School.

The camp is for students, who will attend WHS in the fall of 2008. The camp is designed to introduce players to the program and reinforce skills for returning players.

Cost is $50, and checks should be made payable to Wilsonville Football. All players must have a physical either on file or a new physical examination. Physicals are valid for two years.

Players also must bring cleats.

Coach Travis Inspirational Invitational tournament

The Wilsonville basketball program will host the Coach Travis Inspirational Invitational on Friday from 5-10 p.m. at Wilsonville High School.

Proceeds help 2003 WHS graduate Travis Galbraith, who injured his back and required back surgery, but is uninsured and is no longer able to work.

Proceeds help defray medical costs.

A 3 on 3 tournament, halfcourt shootout and three-point contest are also scheduled for the event.
